Birds & Wildlife
I get out as often as I can around the Valley to photograph birds and wildlife. There are an abundance of natural and preserved habitats that offer a wide variety of wildlife. So much of wildlife photography is being in the right place at the right time, this is the luck part. The non luck parts are patients, persistence and planning. Although I do like to be an opportunistic photographer, meaning just visiting a lot of places in one day and see what I see. This is good exercise if nothing else. But it certainly is a huge advantage to know where to look and at what time. It's useful to know the habits of the wildlife you seeking and plan your visit accordingly.
